The European Parliament has decided to fast-track a proposal for a €90 billion support loan to Ukraine, aimed at providing military assistance and budget support. The loan will be financed through common EU borrowing and guaranteed by the EU budget. MEPs are also accelerating work on amending the Ukraine Facility and enabling 24 member states to provide the loan. The loan agreement will need to be finalized through the ordinary legislative procedure between MEPs and the Council.
