A group of eight MEPs from the European Parliament are on a three-day mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to assess the EU's approach to sustainable development, humanitarian aid, and peace efforts. They will examine how the Global Gateway initiative operates in the DRC, evaluate governance and transparency in natural resource management, and visit projects addressing various issues. The delegation will meet with stakeholders, government officials, and civil society organizations to gain insights and lessons on development practices in fragile settings.
