MEPs have outlined key changes to EU air passenger rights, including maintaining compensation for a three-hour flight delay, free children's seats, and cabin luggage rights. They support current rules on reimbursement and compensation and are against extending the delay deadline. Amendments include a standardized compensation form and exceptions for natural disasters. The proposal also includes one free personal item and hand luggage, free check-in corrections, and ensuring passenger rights are not compromised. Negotiations will commence with the Danish Council presidency on October 15th.
