Press release – More than €900,000 in EU aid for 417 workers in Belgium

The European Parliament approved €931,690 in EU aid for 417 workers in Belgium who lost their jobs due to the closure of chip manufacturer BelGaN. The funding from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund will provide support for counseling, vocational training, and job search assistance. The EGF aims to help workers affected by major restructuring events. Since 2007, the EGF has allocated €709 million to support over 172,000 individuals across 20 EU countries.
